A former representative of the Osun State House of Assembly, Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, has asserted that no political coalition or party-switching can hinder President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.
While addressing reporters on Sunday in Osogbo, Oyintiloye, an influential figure in the All Progressives Congress (APC), dismissed recent defections of APC members, maintaining they do not endanger the President’s stability or the party’s dominance.
Labeling defection as a routine political phenomenon, Oyintiloye argued that believing the departure of self-proclaimed APC members would harm Tinubu’s electoral prospects in 2027 is a serious miscalculation.
“Take it or leave it, no amount of political gang-up can stop the re-election of President Tinubu in 2027,” he asserted.
“Those plotting against him should take time to study the kind of leader he is. He has a winning strategy and is building a network of men and women of goodwill across Nigeria.
“His achievements, political acumen, and deep love for the country will continue to speak for him, both now and in the future. His political opponents will eventually realize their mistake in not supporting him.”
Oyintiloye stressed that President Tinubu’s reputation, influence, resilience, and widespread popularity—which enabled him to navigate political challenges in 2023—will once again guarantee his victory in 2027.
He called on critics to assess Tinubu based on his governance and policies rather than personal or partisan biases.
“Tinubu’s political strength, strong connections, and unwavering resilience saw him triumph in 2023, and they will once again carry him through in 2027,” he remarked.
Nonetheless, Oyintiloye advised President Tinubu to enhance public outreach and sensitization efforts regarding his administration’s accomplishments and forthcoming plans.
In his view, this approach would enable Nigerians to base their electoral decisions on measurable progress rather than political bias.
“By effectively communicating the positive impacts of his administration’s initiatives, Nigerians will be able to appreciate the progress made and make the right decisions ahead of 2027,” he concluded.
