The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL, has reduced the pump price of premium motor spirit at its retail outlets.
According to Daily Post, the pump price was slashed to N910 per litre, down from N945, across NNPCL stations in Abuja.
This reduction was observed on Saturday at NNPCL filling stations in locations such as Zone 6, Kubwa Expressway, Wuse Zone 4, and other parts of the city.
The new rate marks a N30 drop compared to the earlier pump price of N945 per litre at the state-run oil firm.
The development follows a similar move by the Dangote Refinery, which slashed its ex-depot petrol price to N840 per litre, down from N880.
The price adjustment at Dangote was attributed to a drop in global crude oil prices.
Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) members also reduced their petrol prices across Abuja and Lagos.
In Abuja, independent marketers now sell between N930 and N940 per litre, compared to the earlier price range of N945 to N975.
In Lagos, prices have dropped from N925 to N890 per litre, reflecting the broader downward trend in fuel prices.
