Presidential aspirants under the African Democratic Congress, ADC, will put pen to paper regarding the conduct and outcome of the party’s presidential primary, according to reports.

One of the presidential hopefuls in the coalition movement, Rotimi Amaechi, made this known during a chat with LEADERSHIP on Friday.
Recall that former vice president Atiku Abubakar and Amaechi have declared their intentions to run for the presidency under ADC.
Former presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has also declared that he would be on the ballot as a frontrunner in 2027 but did not state which party he will contest.
There are speculations that Atiku’s declaration of interest in the 2027 presidency, which come as surprise to many objective observers — who believe his presence on the ballot again will disrupt the north and south power zoning arrangement — means the party will zone it’s ticket to the north to allow Atiku contest against President Bola Tinubu,
However, the ADC’s interim national chairman, Senator David Mark, said the party has no preferred candidate, stressing that under his leadership, the party would be “absolutely transparent.”
Amaechi explained that the agreement to back whoever emerges as a candidate would hinge on a common understanding of what a transparent primary is, expressing fear that the process may be hijacked.
“What we agreed in principle, and I must say there is a need to lay the cards on the table – what we agreed is that whoever emerges from a transparent primary will be supported by everyone.
“But first, we need to sit down and define what we mean by transparent because it’s easy for someone to hijack the process and still call it transparent,” he said
