  • The former Anambra governor had reached out to Buhari, who was then the President of Nigeria, to inform him of his presidential ambition and desire to succeed him

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 general election, has disclosed the details of his never-shared-before conversation with late former President Muhammadu Buhari during his campaign.

Obi, who paid a condolence visit to Buhari’s family in Daura on Wednesday, came third in the 2023 presidential election with six million votes.

Speaking to the press after the condolence visit in Daura, Katsina State, Obi recounted his conversation with the former President.
