President Bola Tinubu has revealed why he stayed away from the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations final between Nigeria and Morocco.

Tinubu said he initially did not watch the match because his health is too frail to withstand the tension and suspense that comes with such a high-stakes match, and he did not want to suffer any health-related challenges by watching the match.

Speaking when he hosted the Super Falcons at Aso Villa on Monday evening, Tinubu admitted he could not watch the final because he was scared of developing high blood pressure

“Honestly, I did not want to watch the match. I didn’t want high blood pressure. But people came into my room and turned on my TV to that channel.
