  • Ladoja said he would not allow unnecessary delays in the appointment of chiefs under the Olubadan succession system.
  • He described the late Olubadan, Olakulehin, as a leader who left behind a legacy of impactful service.

Olubadan-designate, Oba Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja, has said there will be no delay in filling vacant seats in the Olubadan succession line.

Ladoja gave the assurance when he hosted the Asipa Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Abiodun Kola-Daisi, at his Lagos residence.

In a statement issued by his media aide, Adeola Oloko, the former Oyo governor noted he was outside Ibadan when the 43rd Olubadan, Oba Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin, passed away.

The statement was circulated to journalists on Monday.

Paying tribute to the late monarch, Ladoja described him as a leader who “lived an impactful life and gave a good account of himself.”

He added that “there would be no delay in filling every pending vacancy in the Olubadan chieftaincy line.”

Kola-Daisi, who led a delegation to the meeting, offered condolences over Olakulehin’s death and pledged loyalty to Ladoja.

He further assured the Olubadan-designate of his support in sustaining Ibadan’s traditional heritage.
