The presidency says a report by The International Centre for Investigative Reporting, ICIR, that President Bola Tinubu is currently sick and in critical condition is false and baseless.

The ICIR had reported that preparations were underway to fly Tinubu out of the country for medical attention as his health continued to deteriorate.

Tinubu had been bedridden for several days resulting in his absence from key state events, the media outlet quoted sources in Aso Rock as saying.

According to the medium, all President Tinubu’s scheduled activities, including the Federal Executive Council Meeting, FEC, had been cancelled since the beginning of the week.

However, Tinubu’s media aide, Bayo Onanuga, dismissed the report of the president’s illness, saying Tinubu is in good health.

Onanuga said the president has not attended any public function since last week because he chose to work from home.

“There is nothing wrong with the president, he is okay. He can choose to work from home. He can choose to work from anywhere.

“I tell you nothing is wrong with the president,” the presidential spokesman told Daily Trust on Sunday.
