President Bola Tinubu has reaffirmed his commitment to work with states that prioritise human, social, and economic development.

In a post on X, the president shared this stance a day after hosting Anambra State governor, Chukwuma Soludo, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Tinubu said he agrees with Soludo that leaders who share progressive ideals must unite to strengthen democracy, enhance security, and foster economic growth.

“We discussed the bold reforms underway, the need to stay the course, and the importance of tackling insecurity through both decisive action and inclusive opportunities for our youth,” Tinubu wrote.

He added that his administration will “partner with every state that is serious about human, social, and economic development,” stressing that Nigeria’s progress is strongest when all levels of government work together.

During the visit, Soludo wore a red traditional outfit and a white cap with Tinubu’s insignia. Speaking to journalists afterwards, the governor described the meeting as “pleasant” and said the president was in “robust health and high spirits.”

Soludo also noted that his personal friendship with Tinubu, which spans over 20 years, would not be affected by political differences.
