  • Diaspora Front-End Partners have 48 hours to activate NIN enrolment licences on a newly improved platform boosting security and efficiency

  • NIMC assures uninterrupted NIN services abroad post-upgrade and encourages downloading NINAuth App for secure data verification and access control

The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has given its Diaspora Front-End Partners (FEPs) 48 hours to activate their National Identification Number (NIN) enrolment licences on a newly upgraded platform.

The commission stated that the deadline follows the completion of a major system upgrade aimed at enhancing the security, efficiency, and reliability of NIN registration for Nigerians residing abroad.

The enhanced platform promises faster processing, better data protection, and a smoother experience for diaspora applicants.

NIMC confirmed that all partners have been onboarded to the new system and have received extensive training to manage it effectively. Once partners activate their licences, Nigerians abroad will be able to access NIN enrolment services without disruption.

In a statement signed by Dr. Kayode Adegoke, Head of Corporate Communications, the commission apologised for any inconvenience caused during the transition and assured that a dedicated service team is available to handle all diaspora-related issues.

While the upgraded system rolls out overseas, NIN registration continues at all centres in Nigeria. Applicants can find the nearest enrolment centre on the NIMC website.

Nigerians at home or abroad can also update their NIN records using the online self-service portal.

The commission further urged NIN holders to download the NIMC NINAuth App from iOS or Google Play. The app enables users to instantly verify their NIN, control access to their data, and enjoy secure authentication services.
