A former Chairman of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, NERC, Sam Amadi, has bemoaned the uninspiring calibre of people aspiring to hold public offices in the country.
He noted that most people running for public office in the African Democratic Congress, ADC, and All Progressives Congress, APC, are thieves.
Amadi also stated that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has become a compromised, corrupt and biased organisation.
He stated that the anti-graft agency cannot prosecute President Bola Tinubu’s team, adding that almost all Nigerian governors and legislators are corrupt.
Amadi, also the Director of the Abuja School of Social and Political Thoughts, shared his thoughts in a post on his X handle on Thursday.
According to him, most governors and legislators had stolen from the public treasury, except Mr Peter Obi and a few others.
Amadi said: “Two Sides of Truth: Almost all Nigerian govs & Legislators are corrupt. They stole, with the exception of @PeterObi & one or two.
“Most people running for office in ADC or APC are thieves
“@officialEFCC is a compromised, corrupt & biased organization. It cannot prosecute Tinubu’s team.”
