A fatal road accident in Garun Malam Local Government Area of Kano State has claimed the lives of at least twelve people.

Five other persons were also injured during the auto crash that happened at about 2:40 a.m. on Friday at Samawa Village along the Zaria–Kano highway.

The lone accident involved a DAF CF95 trailer, with registration number KMC 931 ZE loaded with goods.

The tragic mishap occurred when the trailer lost control and crashed because its cab detached from its body due to a mechanical failure in the trailer’s cab hook.
