- Corporate Affairs Commission delisted 247 companies after determining they were never properly registered as limited liability companies
- Commission stated the companies’ Registration Certificate numbers were never assigned to any entity, making incorporation claims invalid
The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has removed 247 companies from its database after determining that they were never properly registered as limited liability companies.
The Commission announced the move in a notice posted on its official X handle on Friday, stating that the affected companies’ purported incorporation was invalid.
According to the CAC, the Registration Certificate (RC) numbers allegedly associated with the companies were never assigned to any entity.
It urged the public to disregard any claims that the delisted companies exist as legal entities.
