In Borno State, the severed genitalia of a troubled man, who attempted to take his own life, have been reattached.
The penis was fixed and restored to its natural state by doctors at the General Hospital in Bama local government of the North East State.
Within Nigeria had reported on Saturday how one Modu Isa was stabbed himself in the stomach three times before cutting off his genitals.
Isa, 50, reportedly resorted to self-harm after his effort to reunite with his estranged wife proved futile.

Security analyst, Zagazola Makama, who disclosed the incident which happened in Hausari ward on Saturday, also confirmed the reattachment of the victim’s genitalia.
Makama, in a post on X, stated that medical personnel at the hospital carried out an emergency procedure to save the man’s life and reattached his genitals.
Hospital sources confirmed that Isa is now in stable condition and responding to treatment.
Security operatives later transferred the case to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in Maiduguri for further investigation.
