The All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed gratitude to Nigerians for the massive support that gave its candidates victory in Saturday’s legislative by-elections across 12 states.

The party’s national publicity secretary, Felix Morka, said in a statement on Sunday in Abuja that the triumph reflected the people’s endorsement of President Bola Tinubu’s leadership.

According to him, the outcome of the polls showed faith in Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which he said was gradually transforming the economy and other sectors.

Morka commended Tinubu and the leadership of the APC for ensuring a level playing field in the by-election contests.

He also applauded the Progressive Governors’ Forum, party leaders, members and supporters, whom he described as sacrificial in their efforts towards securing victory.

“Our hearty congratulations go to our victorious candidates across the country, and we charge them to reward their constituents with purposeful legislative interventions that translate Renewed Hope Agenda to meaningful benefits for the people,” he said.

Morka congratulated the party’s national chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, on his first electoral success since assuming leadership of the APC, describing it as a strong signal of greater things ahead.

He praised the Independent National Electoral Commission for the conduct of the polls and commended security agencies for maintaining order despite incidents of voter suppression and election violence in some areas.

Morka urged Nigerians to continue backing the APC and President Tinubu, assuring them that the administration would not derail from its commitment to a steady path of prosperity.
