  • The government disclosed that agencies have launched a manhunt for the killers, saying that they won’t go unpunished

The Federal Government has vowed to hunt down perpetrators of the killing of worshippers in Malumfashi Local Government Area of Katsina State.

Recalled that armed men suspected to be bandits attacked a mosque in Unguwan Mantau Community on Tuesday morning and opened fired on worshippers who had gathered to observe the morning prayers.

Reacting in a statement signed by Muhammed Idris, the Minister of Information and National Orientation, the Tinubu administration described the attack as a callous and barbaric attack on harmless citizens..

The government disclosed that agencies have launched a manhunt for the killers, saying that they won’t go unpunished.

Furthermore, the government assured Nigerians that justice for this crime will be swift and decisive.

Idris stated that the President extends his deepest condolences to the families of the deceased.

“Those who shed innocent blood will find no hiding place in Nigeria,” the statement added

Meanwhile, the death toll from the attack has now risen to 50 from 30 as more bodies are recovered in the aftermath of the deadly invasion.
