Renowned British-born Nigerian heavyweight boxer Anthony Joshua has been involved in a car crash in Nigeria.

The auto mishap happened on Monday in the Makun area of Ogun State, in the South-Western part of the country.

The vehicle transporting Joshua, a Lexus Jeep with the number plate, KRD 850 HN, reportedly rammed into a parked truck laden with agricultural produce along the busy Lagos-Ibadan expressway under circumstances that authorities are now investigating.

Joshua reportedly sustained minor injuries while two people in his two-car convoy died on the spot in the mishap, which happened just before the Danco Filling Station in Makun, before Sagamu Interchange inward Ibadan axis of the road.
