COVID-19: Nigeria records 31 fresh infections in five states, Abuja

As the battle against COVID-19 continues, Nigeria has recorded 31 new cases of the deadly disease in five states and the federal capital territory (FCT).

This was announced by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in its daily update for April 8, 2022.

According to agency’s report, a breakdown of the cases is presented below: Lagos-20, Rivers-3, Abia-2, Delta-2, FCT -2 and Kaduna-2.

The agency said 32 persons were discharged after they recovered from the infection. No death was reported as the fatality figure remains at 3,142.

The NCDC said the report includes data for April 7 and 8.

Nigeria now has a total of 255,606 confirmed cases and 249,718 recoveries.
