Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, a former Minister of Sports and Youth Development, has said the All Progressives Congress (APC) has brought Nigeria to its knees.

Abdullahi verdict on the performance of the ruling party is coming ahead of the 2023 general elections, noting that things Nigerians thought could not happen in the past are happening.

Abdullahi said Nigerians are treating cancer by wrapping bandages on it under the APC government, adding that the 2023 general elections offer Nigerians another historic opportunity to make the country work again.

He said this while featuring at the 33rd edition of the ‘Media Parliament’ of the Kwara State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists in Ilorin on Wednesday.

According to Abdullahi, “The APC government has brought this nation to its knees. All the things we thought could not happen had happened in the last seven years. There’s no way we can exonerate APC from the problems of this country.

“APC has ruined this country. 2023 presents a historic opportunity to make Nigeria work again.

“Every Nigerian lives in fear today because of the problems of insecurity and poverty. The poorest of the poor are 90 million in Nigeria today. We carry on as if all is well. We’re treating cancer with wrapping bandages on it.”
