Knee surgery: Osinbajo physically resumes duty, to attend FEC meeting

Yemi Osinbajo, the vice president, will physically attend the Federal Executive Council, FEC, meeting on Wednesday barring any unforeseen changes.

Osinbajo’s first official task following a successful knee operation in Lagos State will be this.

WITHIN NIGERIA reports that Osinbajo underwent a surgical operation on Saturday, July 16, at the Duchess International Hospital, Ikeja, Lagos.

The Vice President successfully underwent surgery, recovered, and was released from the hospital in July.

Osinbajo had not physically participated in FEC meetings since the operation because he was healing.

Laolu Akande, Osinbajo’s spokesperson, asserted that the Vice President plans to take additional action.

In a tweet, Akande wrote: “VP Osinbajo is physically attending the weekly Federal Executive Council today.

“He is grateful for all the get-well wishes sent by Nigerians & others from all walks of life since the surgical operation & the recuperation period. He intends to be getting up and doing more and more.”
