Ikpeazu prepares for handover, appoints committee

Okezie Ikpeazu, the governor of Abia State, has appointed a transition committee to ensure a smooth transfer of power.

The committee, which will be led by Secretary to the State Government Chris Ezem, will see to a smooth transfer of authority from his departing administration to Governor-elect Dr. Alex Otti.

Ikpeazu, in a statement signed by Ezem, named the members of the committee to include commissioners for works, environment, public utilities, information and strategy and Commissioner for Homeland Security.

The members of the committee, according to the statement, are to be sworn- in on Wednesday at the Deputy Governor’s office in Umuahia.
