The Kano State House of Assembly has confirmed Justice Dije Aboki‘s appointment as the state’s substantive Chief Judge.

The confirmation of the first female Chief Judge came after the assembly considered a letter forwarded to it by Governor Abba Kabir-Yusuf and read aloud by Speaker Ismail Falgore during Thursday’s plenary.

The former Governor Abdullahi Ganduje swore in Justice Aboki as acting Chief Judge of the state in March.

Similarly, the Kano State House of Assembly has confirmed three more commissioner-nominees sent by Gov. Kabir-Yusuf to the Assembly.

Their confirmation came after a smooth screening on the Assembly floor on Thursday presided over by Falgore.

Ibrahim Fagge, Ibrahim Namadi, and Amina Abdullahi-Sani were among the nominees who were screened.

Falgore asked the cleared nominees to justify their appointment by being dedicated to their duties when assigned portfolios in his post-confirmation remarks.

He urged them to support the governor’s efforts in the state’s development.

Following their confirmation, the nominees described the opportunity as a call to serve the people of the state.

They promised to contribute their quota to the state’s development and to put the party’s manifesto into action for the sake of the state’s overall development.
