Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the First Lady, has assured Nigerians that her office’s Renewed Hope Initiative will provide assistance and relief to families across the country once it is fully implemented.
She assured the initiative was held at her office at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja after the second meeting of the Governing Board.
The First Lady, who is also the National Chairman of the Renewed Hope Initiative, stated that all arrangements had been made to ensure the project’s smooth launch across the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Sen. Tinubu, in a statement released on Friday by her Special Assistant, Media, Busola Kukoyi, said the project would involve various states and local governments because it would be an all-inclusive scheme for the federation.
Agriculture, health, education, social investment, and economic empowerment are among the project’s focal points, according to her.
As a result, she stated that a meeting with the wives of all state governors would be held on Friday, July 14, at which the modalities for the project’s successful implementation would be made public.
In her remarks following the meeting, Hajiya Nana Shettima, wife of the vice president and National Vice Chairman of the initiative, expressed the governing board’s enthusiasm for the project, noting that Nigerians are in for better times to complement the Federal Government’s efforts.
Similarly, Barr. Chioma Uzodinma, the Initiative’s National Secretary, stated that the initiative will fly on the wings of collaborative efforts from all sectors to improve the lives of ordinary Nigerians.
Members of the governing board in attendance included Ekaette Unoma Akpabio, Salamatu Gbajabiamila, Prof. Hafsat Ganduje, and APC National Woman Leader, Dr Beta Edu.
