  • Sports Minister John Owan-Enoh congratulates President Tinubu on his tribunal victory, emphasizing it as a win for Nigeria and democracy
  • Owan-Enoh urges Nigerians to support Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda and focus on governance for the betterment of the country

Following President Bola Tinubu’s victory at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) on Wednesday, Sports Minister John Owan-Enoh has called for a greater focus on governance.

Owan-Enoh announced in a statement signed by his media aide, Kola Daniel.

The minister congratulated President Tinubu on his tribunal victory, saying it confirmed the president as the February 25 presidential election winner.

According to Enoh, the former Lagos State governor is the best man Nigeria needs at this critical juncture, and he urged all Nigerians to support his renewed hope agenda as he carried out his mandate to bring development to the country.

I join millions of well-meaning Nigerians to congratulate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his victory at the tribunal.

It represents a win for Nigeria and a victory for democracy, as the yearnings and aspirations of our people have been upheld by the judgement delivered, he said.

Owan-Enoh called on Nigerians to join hands with the present administration to move the nation forward, especially after the tribunal’s verdict.

I call on all individuals to join hands and work for the betterment of our country, as this is the only country we have.

It’s our collective responsibility to move the country out of the doldrums to greater prosperity. Now that the verdicts have been made, all focus should be on governance, he added.

Tribunal judgment won’t stop APC from retaining three senatorial seats in Kogi

Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello is confident that the All Progressives Congress will keep all three senatorial seats.

The governor expressed optimism following Wednesday’s Election Petitions Tribunal judgement overturning the February 25 Kogi Central senatorial election.

The tribunal had declared Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan of the Peoples Democratic Party as the actual election winner.

In his unanimous judgement, the Chairman of the three-man judicial panel, Justice K. A. Orjiako, nullified the victory of Senator Abubakar Ohere, saying the APC candidate’s votes were inflated in nine polling units of Ajaokuta Local Government Area.
