Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State receives accolades from the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), with the state chapter commending his exceptional investments in the health sector. The NMA declared that Governor Bello’s strides in advancing healthcare are unparalleled in the country.

In a goodwill message addressed to the governor, signed by Chairman Dr. Baoku Olusola and Secretary Dr. Jonah Bola Kelvin, the NMA expressed admiration for the administration’s dedication to healthcare over the past eight years. The doctors praised Governor Bello for prioritizing and generously funding the health sector.

Highlighting the infrastructure and numerous healthcare facilities established under Governor Bello’s leadership, the NMA suggested that Kogi’s health sector serves as a model for other states.

The association appreciated the governor for approving the Consolidated Medical Salary Structure (CONMESS) and hazard allowances for doctors, even when many other states had yet to implement such measures. The doctors conveyed their gratitude, stating, “Your name has been written in gold, and you will never be forgotten, Sir, as the conqueror.”
