  • The electoral body said that late submission will not be entertained.
  • Recall that INEC unveiled a portal for the recruitment of ad hoc staff for Ondo off-cycle governorship elections in July.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has introduced an online accreditation platform for media entities and journalists to cover the Ondo State Governorship election.

This portal, which becomes accessible on Monday, September 9th, 2024, will be deactivated at midnight on Thursday, October 31st, 2024.

Sam Olumekun, National Commissioner and Chairman of the Information and Voter Education Committee, announced this in a statement.

Media organizations interested in deploying personnel to cover the election are required to submit their applications via the portal.

Olumekun advised applicants to complete the process well in advance of the October 31st deadline.

He emphasized that the deadline will not be extended, and late applications will not be considered.

Prospective applicants are urged to take prompt action to avoid missing the deadline.

The accreditation portal is accessible at (https://imap.inecnigeria.org).
