  • Manchester United defender Noussair Mazraoui will be sidelined for two months due to cardiac arrhythmia, requiring surgery to address the condition
  • Despite his absence, coach Austin Eguavoen remains confident in the team’s ability to perform well in upcoming matches

Manchester United defender Noussair Mazraoui is set to be sidelined for two months after being diagnosed with cardiac arrhythmia, a condition characterized by an irregular heartbeat.

Reports indicate that the Moroccan international will undergo surgery to address the issue. However, Mail Sport revealed that Mazraoui has already undergone a minor corrective procedure after experiencing palpitations.

The procedure, done as a precaution, was reportedly successful, and Mazraoui is expected to be available for selection again in the coming weeks.

Cardiac arrhythmia occurs when the heart beats too fast, too slow, or in an erratic pattern. According to the NHS, over 2 million people in the UK suffer from this condition, but with proper diagnosis and management, most individuals can still lead normal lives.

While it is not always possible to prevent arrhythmias, maintaining a healthy lifestyle can help reduce the risk of developing heart-related conditions.

Mazraoui’s absence adds to Manchester United’s difficult start to the season, during which the team has conceded ten goals in 11 matches.
