  • Ajulo made it clear that only legally constituted authorities have the right to adjudicate land matters in the Ondo state.

The attorney-general and commissioner for justice in Ondo state, Kayode Ajulo, has warned that illegal land transactions must end immediately.

Ajulo emphasized that fraudulent sellers and land grabbers must halt their activities, as the government will no longer tolerate such behavior.

In a statement, Ajulo announced that Ondo Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has initiated a crackdown on land grabbers, aiming to restore order in the state.

He stated that a task force will be established to address illegal property occupation and land disputes, with offenders facing severe legal consequences.

“Those unlawfully acquiring government lands, private property, or fraudulently selling the same land to multiple buyers must rethink their actions immediately, NAN quoted Ajulo as saying.

“The government is fully committed to enforcing the law and will take decisive action against violators.

“This is a scenario peculiar to some states, though I will prefer not to mention names but we will not tolerate such illegal activities in Ondo state anymore before it gets out of hand.”

Ajulo criticizes organized groups that have turned land grabbing into a lucrative business, disrupting community harmony and hindering the state’s development.

He urges affected individuals to rectify their situations within the stipulated period.

The attorney general assures the public that the government remains committed to protecting legitimate property owners and restoring order.

“The administration of Aiyedatiwa will not tolerate any infringement on property rights. The law is clear, and those who cross it will face the full weight of justice,” he added.
