Super Eagles forward Alex Iwobi turns 23 today and his father, Chuka Iwobi took social media to share the picture of the Arsenal’s academy graduate while growing up.
Iwobi has grown from academy player to be an integral part of the Gunners team under former boss Arsene Wenger and current Boss Unai Emery. He’s also important player in the National team, featuring at the 2018 Russia World Cup with Nigeria and will also be making his debut at the African Cup of Nations in Egypt later this year .
However his father , Chuka took to his social to celebrate the young hero.
“Happy 23rd Birthday to you Alex – from Boy to man. You are an amazing son. We give thanks to God for his infinite goodness and mercy ” he wrote his social media account.
Iwobi was born in Lagos before moving to England at the age of four, following a brief stay in Turkey, He grew up in Newham England.
He is the nephew of former Nigeria professional footballer Jay-Jay Okocha.
