Tension mounts again in House of Reps over leadership of minority parties

There is tension on the floor of the House of Representatives as four embers of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) took over the seats reserved for the leadership of Minority Parties.

The faction of Hon. Kingsley Chinda who was favoured by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) also has Hon. Chukwuma Onyema as Deputy Minority Leader; Hon. Yakubu Barde as Minority Whip and Hon. Muraina Ajibola as Deputy Chief Whip after holding a brief meeting in Conference Room 1 ahead of plenary session, resolved to take over the four front roll seats reserved for the principal officers of the Minority Parties.

However, Hon. Ndudi Elumelu led faction is yet to resume at plenary, at about 11.33 am.

Meanwhile, the legislative activities which ought to commence at 11:00 am is yet to take-off as the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila and his Deputy, Hon. Idris Wase are yet to come into the Chambers.
