Osun NUT pledges members’ support for Oyetola

The Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Osun State wing, has called on members of the union in the state to continue supporting Governor Gboyega Oyetola so as to fulfil his campaign promises.

The union made the call in a statement jointly signed by the state chairman, secretary and publicity secretary, Alhaji Wakeel Amudah, Comrade Salami Olukayode and Comrade Adepoju Rasheed respectively, which was made available on Thursday.

The statement read: “All members are in support of our amiable governor in his efforts to take the state to the next level through developmental programmes and policies, particularly in the provision of good welfare packages for human capital and education development.”

The union also felicitated with the governor following the appeal court judgement which affirmed his emergence as duly elected governor of the state.

It described the reaffirmation of Oyetola as the duly elected governor of Osun State as a true reflection of the wish of the good people of the state.

Meanwhile, the union leaders have announced the transfer of their former state secretary, Comrade Mohammed Abdullahi to Oyo State wing of the union.

According to the statement, a new secretary, Mr Salami Olukayode. has been deployed to Osun State to take over from Comrade Abdullahi.

The development notified the government of the state, teachers in both primary and secondary schools across the state.
