Actor Yomi Black in his response to a statement by Mike Bamiloye on Nigerian celebrities using their gifts for God and not the devil, has said Davido has done more than the pastor.
In an Instagram post yesterday, the veteran Christian movie actor had called on singers that started in the church but ended up singing secular songs, to come back and use their gifts for God.
Yomi Black in his reaction, however, stated that what Davido has done for his personal assistant, Lati is never comparable with what Mike Bamiloye has ever done for his choir members.
He faulted the man of God for tagging lovers and sponsors of secular music as devils.
He wrote:
Once you are not with them, you are of the devil.
Sir! life is not black and white. Many shades of grey. I can bet there is no good thing you have done for your current choir members that can beat what Davido has done for Lati.
In his own reaction, a social media user wrote that the church has not been doing anything for its musicians.
Do this musicians also deserve a good life? As a music minister I know how jealous music is, if you leave it for a day it leaves for a week, I’m not here to talk about my own Chronicles. I just know that the church is persecuting this musicians.
