A 12-year-old girl who was defiled for 3 years has exposed her father as an abuser during a sex education class.

The suspect identified as Davies Joel, a staff of Ekiti State University has been arrested for defiling his 12-year-old daughter for 3 years.

It was gathered that the 12-year-old girl disclosed to her teacher that her father started defiling her after telling her how special she is to him while caressing her breast and the defilment continued for years.

The girl who was bleeding when she confided in her teacher, was taken to the hospital for further examination, WITHIN NIGERIA learnt.

The Chairperson of the Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) Ekiti State chapter, Mrs. Seyi Ojo took up the case after being contacted by the management of his daughter’s school.

The 52-year-old father of the victim and ICT department staff of Ekiti State University blamed the sad act on foolishness and also pleaded for forgiveness.

Joel also disclosed that his wife got to know about the incestous act but it was settled within the family.

While reacting to the development, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Caleb Ikechukwu confirmed the arrest of the suspect and will be charged to court after the investigation has been concluded.

”The operatives of Ekiti State Police Command have arrested a Rape Suspect Davies Noel, 52 years old who had been having unlawful canal knowledge of his biological daughter of 12 years for over three (3) years. The suspect was arrested on the 29th of October, 2019.

”However, the suspect confessed to the commission of the crime and will be charged to court upon conclusive investigation,” Ikechukwu said.
