Gunmen attack train station in Kaduna, abduct passengers

Vehicles conveying travellers who alighted at Rigasa railway station in Kaduna were attacked by gunmen on Saturday, January 25th resulting to the injury of some travellers while several others were reportedly abducted.

WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that the travellers were attacked by the gunmen at about 8pm  when they had arrived at the train station.

It was further learnt that the families of the abducted travellers have been contacted by the abductors and they are requesting for N20 million as ransom.

Recall that gunmen had earlier attacked the train station on Friday, January 24th.

Reacting to the sad incident, the Police Public Relations in the state, DSP Yakubu Sabo confirmed the fresh attack and further added that the command is already investigating the matter.
