The abduction of a 17-year-old student of Federal Government College identified as Gift Abiikor in Rubochi, Abuja has been confirmed by the FCT Police Command.
This was contained in a statement released by the Police Public Relations in the FCT, DSP Anjuguri Manzah.
Manzah revealed that the student was abducted by unknown persons in the early hours of Tuesday January 28.
It was further learnt that the FCT’s Commissioner of Police, CP Bala Ciroma has already ordered an investigation into the abduction.
The statement read in parts;
“According to one Ahmed Adamu, who reported the incident to the police, some armed men stormed his house at about 0100hrs and abducted Gift Abiikor while asleep in the same bed with his children.
“The unfortunate incident happened at the residence of Ahmed Adamu, which is outside the premises of Federal Government College Rubochi.”
