Army corporal kills self in Borno after shooting four colleagues dead, injures 2 others

A Corporal of Nigerian Army serving at the Theatre Command Operation LAFIYA DOLE, Army Super Camp 15, Borno State, has killed four of his colleagues.

He also injured two other before committing suicide.

The Acting Director, Army Public Relations, Col. Sagir Musa, disclosed this in a statement, adding that the incident took place on Wednesday morning.

Musa added that the wounded personnels are currently in stable condition at the Nigerian army hospital in Maiduguri, NAN reports.

He noted that efforts are ongoing to contact the families of the gallant colleagues who lost their lives.

“May their gentle souls rest In peace.

“Meanwhile, investigation into the case has since been instituted to determine the circumstances that led to the unfortunate incident,” the statement added.
