Gov Makinde confirms four new cases of COVID-19 in Oyo

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, on Friday confirmed four (4) new cases of coronavirus in the State.

Makinde, who doubles as Chairman of the COVID-19 task force committee in the State, made this announcement in a series of tweets on his verified Twitter handle.

With the confirmation of the four new cases, Oyo State now has 59 confirmed cases of coronavirus.

Makinde while speaking said, “The COVID-19 confirmation tests for four suspected cases came back positive.

“So, the total number of confirmed cases in Oyo State is fifty-nine.

“Please call the Emergency Operations Centre on 08095394000 | 08095863000 | 08078288999 | 08078288800, if you find travellers from other States arriving in your community”.

Meanwhile, Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC on Friday announced that Nigeria recorded 386 new cases of coronavirus in the country.

“386 new cases of #COVID19; 176-Lagos 65-Kano 31-Katsina 20-FCT 17-Borno 15-Bauchi 14-Nasarawa 13-Ogun 10-Plateau 4-Oyo 4-Sokoto 4-Rivers 3-Kaduna 2-Edo 2-Ebonyi 2-Ondo 1-Enugu 1-Imo 1-Gombe 1-Osun.

“3912 cases of COVID19 in Nigeria, 679 patients have been discharged with 117 deaths recorded.”
