Video: Lagos motorists spend the night on the road in Ikoyi for violating curfew order

An Instagram user has taken to the platform to share a video of how some Lagos motorists who violated the curfew order in Lagos state last night, were forced to sleep outside at Osborne Road in Ikoyi area of the state.

 

Recall that the federal government declared a nationwide curfew of 8pm to 6am, as part of new measures to contain the spread of the deadly COVID 19 pandemic ravaging the world.

The Instagram user who was affected by this took to his Instagram account, “Femiolasebikan” to share his shocking experience on how he was stuck on the road last night.

“Make una help us beg Governor @jidesanwoolu oooo. We won’t do it again..  I want to go home. We’re all sleeping on the road tonight” He wrote on the social media platform.

Within Nigeria recalls that President Muhammadu Buhari declared an overnight curfew from 8 pm to 6 am across the country, as part of new measures to contain the spread of the COVID-19.

This came along with the phased and gradual easing of lockdown measures in FCT, Lagos and Ogun States which effect from Saturday, 2nd May 2020, at 9 am.
