Lagos discharges 87 COVID-19 patients

Lagos records three COVID-19 deaths

The Lagos State government has announced the discharge of Eighty Seven (87) Coronavirus patients.

This was disclosed by the Lagos State Ministry of Health via its official Twitter page.

It said: “87 patients; 40 females,47 males, all Nigerians have been discharged from our isolation facilities to reunite with their families”.

Lagos Said 26 patients were discharged from Mainland Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba, and 24 from Onikan.

“The patients; 26 from Mainland Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba, 24 from Onikan, 12 from Eti-Osa (LandMark),11 from Agidingbi, 9 from Gbagada and 5 LUTH Isolation Centres were discharged having fully recovered & tested negative to #COVID19.”

With this, the number of patients successfully managed and discharged now 825.

Meanwhile, the Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Prof Akin Abayomi has said the state will experience drastic decline in the number of COVID-19 cases by November this year.

Abayomi also disclosed that the state have concluded arrangements with the 57 flagship Primary Healthcare Centres (PHCs) across the state to supervise patients with asymptomatic, mild and moderate cases of the virus who it hoped to confine under homecare soon.
