Stupid Question: Presidency 'trolls' FFK

As journalists continue to reprimanded former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani Kayode, FFK, over his threat and verbal attack on a Daily Trust reporter Charles Eyo, with opinion articles and press statements; President Muhammadu Buhari’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu has joined the league of those reacting to the incident.

WITHIN NIGERIA recalls that the former minister verbally attacked Eyo who asked him about being bankrolled at a press conference in Calabar. Instead of providing answers, FFK tagged the journalist’s question as ‘stupid’ and also threatened him.

Reacting to the incident which Fani-Kayode has, however, apologised for, the Presidency on Sunday said there is no stupid question in Journalism.

Shehu who reacted via his verified official twitter handle said the basics in journalism indicates that there are only stupid answers and not questions.

“In journalism 101, you learn that there is no stupid question, only stupid answers. A former Nigerian minister just brought home this lesson.” Buhari’s SA on Media and Publicity tweeted.
