BREAKING: Fowler, ex-FIRS chairman, in EFCC custody over ‘fraud’

The former chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Babatunde Fowler is presently in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over alleged fraud.

According to TheCable report, Fowler was invited on Monday morning over an ongoing investigation involving Alpha Beta Consulting, a tax firm allegedly belonging to APC National leader, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Recall that WITHIN NIGERIA reported that President Muhammadu Buhari queried the then Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Services (FIRS), Babatunde Fowler.

The query signed by the then Chief of Staff now late Abba Kyari was on poor revenue collections.
