NSITF promotional examination disrupted over failure to obey COVID19 protocols

The FCT Administration Ministerial Taskforce on Enforcement of COVID-19 Protocols has disrupted the promotion examination of the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) staff over violation of the Health Protection Regulations 2021, signed into law last week by President Muhammadu Buhari.

The task force on Wednesday, February 3, led by the head of media and enlightenment, Ikharo Attah stormed the Event Centre where the examination was held after the staff of the agency called in to complain about the uncontrollable crowd that gathered to write the examination.

According to Attah, the examination was stopped because the NSITF did not obtain permits to hold the exercise in the first place and, the agency also failed to control the crowd and ensure strict compliance with the COVID19 protocols.

“The management insisted they got permission to hold the examination but they failed to provide proof of such permission,” Attah added

Those in charge of the examination were said to have absconded, leaving their cars behind, which were towed by the vehicle inspection officers.
