Gunmen abduct Taraba Deputy Governor’s PA

Unknown gunmen suspected to be kdiannpers have abducted the personal assistant to Taraba Deputy Governor, Alhaji Bala Baba.

WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that the governor’s personal assistant was kidnapped from his residence in Sabongari area of Jalingo at about 1.30 am on Tuesday February 9, by gunmen who shot sporadically for over 30 minutes.

As at the time of filing this report, the gunmen have not contacted with the members of the family of the kidnap victim.

Sources disclosed that the gunmen headed towards Gongon -Malik area of Jalingo.

Speaking on the sad development, the acting Public relations officer of Taraba command, Reform Leha confirmed the incident.

Leha said they have intensified effort to arrest those behind the act.

In other news, WITHIN NIGERIA reported that Unknown gunmen have kidnapped a member representing Nguroje Constituency in the Taraba House of Assembly, Barr. Bashir Mohammed.

Family sources disclosed that Mohammed was abducted from his residence at about 1am, on Wednesday.

The lawmaker was the Chairman of the House Committee on Information.
