40 Universities Not Participating in ASUU Strike: SEE LIST

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has embarked on a two-week warning strike, which started on Monday, October 13, 2025.

Recall that the union had earlier decried the failure of the Federal Government to fulfill its long-term demands, such as payment of withheld salaries, improved funding, implementation of the 2009 ASUU-FGN agreement, and review of IPPIS, among others.

Lecturers have abandoned classrooms, leading to the suspension of academic activities in most public universities following the directive of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).

However, some public universities, mostly state-owned, did not join the strike action.
