Nollywood colleagues mourn Allwell Ademola’s sudden death

Nollywood actress and film producer Allwell Ademola has reportedly died at the age of 43.

Multiple Nigerian news outlets reported that she suffered a heart attack at her Lagos residence on Saturday, December 27, 2025, and was later pronounced dead at a hospital.

The sudden news has sent waves of shock through the Nigerian entertainment industry and across social media platforms.

Allwell Ademola was widely recognized for her roles in Yoruba and Nollywood productions.. She also produced films and came from a notable family, being the granddaughter of the late Chief Justice of Nigeria, Sir Adetokunbo Ademola. While details of her passing are still emerging, friends, colleagues, and fans have taken to social media to express their grief.

Among the first to react was actress Faithia Williams, who shared on Instagram that the news hit her deeply, writing, “This news hit me so bad.”

Mide Martins posted a photo of herself with Allwell, reflecting on the unfairness of the situation and expressing her sorrow.

Damola Olatunji shared a candlelight image accompanied by the words, “Life is a mirage,” highlighting the fragility of life.

Bidemi Kosoko expressed disbelief at the reports and prayed that it was not true, writing, “No way… God forbid.”

Meanwhile, Odunlade Adekola posted a brief but emotional message saying, “OMG, RIP Allwell.”

Additional reactions from colleagues have also surfaced online. Seun Oloketuyi reportedly helped circulate the news, while Yemi Solade, Bolanle Ninalowo, and Saidi Balogun were mentioned among others joining the mourning online.

Across Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter, the sentiment has been one of shock, disbelief, and heartfelt prayers for Allwell Ademola’s soul.

Fans and industry insiders alike are continuing to share memories, photos, and tributes, showing how deeply her passing has affected the Nollywood community.
