At least seven people have been reportedly killed after terrorists attacked two churches in Kaduna state during easter celebrations.

The attack, which happened on Sunday at Ariko community in Kachia Local Government Area, also saw many others kidnapped, turning the solemn and joyous occasion into a tragic, unfortunate and sorrowful day.

The attack and killings are said to have thrown the community into a state of apprehension and panic.

Over the years terrorists have targeted worship centres in Kaduna State, the situation has worsened in recent years with killings and abductions of worshippers and religious leaders becoming more rampant.

The State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Mansir Hassan, is yet to issue a statement regarding the incident.
