Angel Smith & Tumi’s marriage crash: IGoSave | MC Makopolo

What began as a bold declaration of love has taken an unexpected turn.

Less than 2 weeks after Angel Smith made headlines for tying the knot with her partner, Tumininu, in a union that stirred conversation far beyond Nigeria’s borders, cracks have begun to show loudly and publicly.

Now, what was once celebrated in some circles and questioned in others has spiralled into a wave of online drama, cryptic posts, and pointed accusations, drawing in celebrities and commentators alike. As the story continues to unfold, the reactions have been just as explosive as the situation itself.

But how did a relationship that had barely left the honeymoon phase unravel so quickly?

Background: From Wedding Bells to Online Fallout

Angel Smith & Tumininu

Angel Smith and Tumininu reportedly started their relationship in 2025. It became public soon after Angel ended things with co-reality TV star, Soma Anyama. They shared loved up moments online and quickly became one of the most talked about couples especially being of the same sex.

By January 2026, they had already taken a big step with a civil wedding in Texas in the United States. On March 27, 2026, Angel Smith and Tumininu held a private wedding ceremony. It was a small gathering with close friends and family and followed an all black theme.

Barely weeks after the wedding, signs of trouble began to show. On April 11, 2026, Tumininu shared posts that hinted at a breakup. She posted about giving out her wedding ring and said she did not belong to anyone. She captioned the photo: “if you need ring, holla,” and stated she was “back to the streets”. The post quickly sparked rumours online.

Soon after, the situation got worse. Tumininu in the days that followed, accused Angel of cheating and claimed she had spent over one hundred thousand dollars on her, including a large amount on her birthday. At the same time, a video of Tumininu in a compromising position with another woman in a club began to spread, adding more drama to the situation.

More details came out as private chats leaked online. The messages showed the couple arguing and dealing with trust issues even before the wedding. There were also claims of tension over travel plans and growing distance between them.

Neither of them has confirmed a divorce, but their actions online and the way they have pulled away from each other suggest the marriage may have already crashed.

MC Makopolo: Humour Meets Commentary

Mc Makopolo

Nigerian comedian and entertainer MC Makopolo also joined the conversation, bringing his signature blend of humour and satire to the trending controversy.

Reacting to the situation in a series of posts, he took a playful yet pointed jab at the unfolding drama, blurring the lines between comedy and social commentary.

He wrote:

“Women are really going through a lot cos why will men always try to monetize love 😢 😢 ohhhh
wait no be man oo na still woman 😂😂.”

In another post, he added:

“My dear take it easy na man in woman form u be 😂😂😂after all na man for the relationship Dey always get fault😂😂.”

While clearly delivered in a humorous tone, his comments echoed a broader sentiment seen across social media where users attempted to make sense of the situation through jokes, sarcasm, and cultural references, further amplifying the conversation online.

IGoSave: A Post That Sparked Debate

IGoSave

Nigerian comedian and social commentator IGoSave is among the public figures whose name surfaced in the conversation, though not by direct involvement in the situation.

Amid the growing controversy, netizens began linking a post by the comedian to the unfolding drama between Angel Smith and Tumininu, interpreting it as a subtle reaction to the crisis.

In the post now making rounds online, he wrote:

“Men are really trying when it comes to marriage matters!
A woman got married to another woman, and the marriage didn’t even last 70 hours.
She couldn’t handle what the other woman was doing.”

While he did not mention names or explicitly reference the couple, many netizens were quick to connect his words to the viral situation, further fueling debate and divided opinions across social media.

Olufunmilayo Ogunsanya: A Contrasting Take

UK based Nigerian doctor Olufunmilayo aka OurFavOnlineDoc also weighed in, offering a reaction that stood in sharp contrast to many of the critical takes circulating online.

Known for his blunt and often provocative opinions on social issues, the influencer seemingly sided with Angel amid the controversy, downplaying the financial claims and reframing the narrative around the cheating allegations.

In a seemingly sarcastic post that quickly gained traction, he wrote:

“Just 100k dollars and she’s crying.
How much is 100k dollars that you are now crying about small cheating?
Angel deserves better. I stand with Angel.”

Conclusion

From sharp criticism to seeming support and satire, the reactions trailing Angel Smith and Tumininu’s marriage crisis reveal just how divided public opinion remains.

While some netizens questioned the dynamics of the relationship, others focused on issues of loyalty, accountability, and personal choice. In the end, beyond the headlines and viral posts, the situation underscores a familiar reality that when relationships of celebrities play out in public, the court of social media rarely holds back.
