The Big Brother Naija Shine Ya Eye housemate, Pere, has explained why he pulled away from Maria in the house.
Pere stated in a conversation with Yousef and Michael on Thursday, day 33 of the show, that he cannot be with her because of her sly demeanor.
“I don’t want to be around someone who is overly cautious; someone who will say one thing today and do another tomorrow. She’ll say something today and then say, ‘Oh, I never said that,'” Pere explained.
He also complained that Maria always refuses to admit her mistakes and blames them on drunkenness, even when she wasn’t drunk.
Pere pointed out that such things occur as a result of the environment.
“It’s here, it’s in this environment. You’ll be extremely wary of what’s going on here and what’s going on outside. The combination of these factors is influencing how you will interact with others in this environment,” Pere explained.
According to him, Maria’s behavior made it appear as if he was the one running after her. Pere also stated that such an act is not in his character.
