Grammys: NickiMinaj reacts to absence of Wizkid’s Essence on the ‘Song of the year’ nomination list [VIDEO]

American Rapper Nicki Minaj sat down with Media Personality, Joe Budden for an exhaustive interview.

While the 39-year-old Rapper steered clear of the hot-button issues that have plagued her of late, she addressed a long list of topics including plastic surgery, Grammy nominations, upcoming projects, chart manipulation, motherhood, and the state of female rap.

During her interview, Nicki Minaj agreed with Joe Budden’s assertion that the song ‘Essence’ by Wizkid and Tems deserved to be nominated for Song of the Year as the track made its way to become a world wide anthem.

Nicki wondered why Wizkid’s smash hit was not nominated in the Record of the Year category at year 2022 Grammys.

Wizkid grabbed two nominations on November 23rd, 2031 for Best Global Music Album and Best Global Music Performance. However, many people believe that his smash hit song, Essence should have made the Record of the Year category.
