Why I was almost expelled – Comedian Bovi reveals as he visits alma mater

Nigerian comedian, Bovi Ugboma was given a hero’s welcome at his alma mater, Delta State University, years after he was almost expelled from the school.

The comedian shared a video from his visit to the school. He explained that he was invited by the Vice-Chancellor.

In the video, Bovi Ugboma was surrounded by excited students of the school who wanted to take photos or get a glimpse of him.

He revealed that years ago, after his final papers, he faced a disciplinary panel in the school for three months and was almost expelled for alleged assault. 

He added that it feels good to be celebrated by the school after all that happened in the past. He captioned the video:

“So last month I had the rare privilege of being invited to my alma-mater (Delta State University ) by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Andy Egwunyenga.

A whole vice chancellor even supported kola for me (I faced disciplinary panel like 3 months after my final papers . So yeah I was almost expelled for alleged assault. So it was refreshing to be celebrated for once.)
I also got to meet with some of my former lecturers like Mr. Martins, Mr. Green and Mr. Boniface. And then I met students of my department, theatre arts! These guys are stars in the making. I can see it. Their fire is evident; more than the fire I had.

Finally I went to girls hostel! Girls hostel wey dem no dey let us enter, I enter with my full chest

But the beautiful thing was that a lady gave me her baby to pray for her! I simply prayed that her baby will be great and I dedicated the baby to God above! Yes I am Mufasa like that! I sha entered girls hostel! Still can’t get over that fact. Long live Delta State University, ABRAKA!

Recall Bovi reignited his perceived beef with colleague, Ayo Makun. The comedian had a question and answer session with his fans where he took a swipe at Ayo Makun.

A fan had questioned why the comedian doesn’t perform on AY show and he replied, questioning if he has seen Chris Rock performing at a Kelvin Hart show.

Another fan noted how he doesn’t see him, Buchi and Basketmouth associate with Ayo. Replying, Bovi hilariously replied that Ayo Makun is too black and he refused to bleach.

Bovi Ugboma also disclosed that he has been banned from entering the United States He revealed he was banned from the entering the U.S after a conflict he had with a visa-issuing officer.
