Why some married women endure domestic violence – BBN Tega Dominic

Former Big Brother Naija, Shine Ya Eye housemate, Tega Dominic, has shared her two cents on why some married women endure domestic violence in the hands of their spouses.

Airing her opinion via her Instagram stories, the reality television show star noted that oftentimes, the ‘Mrs’ title makes women stay in an abusive relationship.

Tega Dominic who was married before she became a contestant in the Big Brother Naija show in 2021, got home to a rocky marriage due to her relationship with fellow housemate, Boma.

However, she has since claimed that her marriage had ended before getting into the BBNaija house due to infidelity on her husband’s part.

Sharing her advice on domestic violence, Tega in a series of posts wrote:

“Most women go through the most because of the MRS tag or he will change, lol, the end of it is death, physically or mentally. Just so you know, revival after mental death is worse than actually dying, we women no dey hear word.

“Next they will say our mothers that stayed nko? Have u asked your mother how she is feeling deep down? Bloody narcissist.

“Sometimes I always think some women deserve what they get because them no gree get sense, na to dey drive Benz and Lexus dey hungry you. Just so u know if you die na mechanic go first drive am before they give it out.”

WITHIN NIGERIA recalls Nollywood actor Uche Maduagwu faulted Ebuka Obi-Uchendu for what he called Tega Dominic’s ‘mistake’ with Boma in the Big Brother Naija house. Uche said Ebuka is at fault for permitting the organizers of the show to increase the air-conditioner in the house, there by making the housemates very cold.

He rebuked Tega over claims of not going into the house as a married woman, asking her to stop justifying her mistake and own up to them instead.

Tega Dominic and Boma were caught in a compromising state while in the house and she was dragged over on the gram which made her come out to apologize for her attitude even though she claimed nothing really happened between herself and Boma.

Tega Dominic speaking about her escapades with Boma during the reunion show claimed she didn’t go into the house as a married woman hence was free to do whatever she wanted to do forgetting that she said it countless times on the show that she’s married.
